David Pope

He has is very active in his community belongs to several organizations including BNI (Business Network International, Toastmasters International, and ASTD (American Society for Training and Development). Dave is not only a member of BNI he is also an Area Director which means he helps other chapter grow and develop in the BNI philosophy. Dave Pope is the president of the PDA School in Fairport, NY. He founded the PDA School in May 2003, which is a company focused on training and solutions for handheld and mobile technology. Dave's main focus  for his company is to develop into an international training institute for the new and emerging handheld and mobile technologies. "I would like to have a training center in all the larger cities in the United States by the end of 2009.", states Pope. Currently David is speaking around the country to groups of 200-300 in the major cities where he trains individuals how to use and exploit PDA's like the Treo, Palms, and Motorola Q's. He also speaks and trains for corporations and organizations, giving keynote speeches and development programs geared specifically for them. Dave is also a member of Toastmasters, an organization dedicated to helping individuals develop their speaking ability. He has won numerous awards for his speaking ability including, Best Humorous Speaker, Best Evaluator, and Best Table Topics Speaker. Dave also received his Competent Communicator award, his Bronze Advanced Communicator award. "Toastmasters has taught me how to give a clear presentation that is also fun and humorous. People seem to enjoy my programs more and get more from them.", says Pope.

Dave is currently writing a book on mobile technology. "I want to write something that everyone will read, not just the technophiles, and I want them to understand and enjoy it.", states Dave Pope. He is also beginning preparations to speak in the International Speech contest for Toastmasters.
